Employee of the Month for November 2019: Cindy Rupp

Our Employee of the Month for November 2019 is Cindy Rupp!

Cindy Rupp is a Case Manager who works to help those living with HIV throughout Northeast and North Central Pennsylvania.

Before joining Caring Communities, Cindy had worked for Columbia Montour Family Health for 32 years doing patient education and counseling, community education and professional training, and marketing and community networking. She also taught, and continues to teach, Human Sexuality classes as an adjunct professor at Luzerne County Community College.

Cindy began working with Caring Communities in July of 2015. In her previous position, Cindy had a long-standing collaborative relationship with Caring Communities, and said it was a pleasure to be able to join the agency whose work she respected so much.

As with many who have dedicated their time to helping others, Cindy finds her favorite parts of her position are her clients. She enjoys helping them overcome barriers and watch as they grow and thrive in the life they are building for themselves. And her coworkers notice! When voting for Cindy for Employee of the Month, many noted her dedication to her clients, saying she sometimes wants to put their well-being before her own. Cindy’s coworkers also appreciate her constant positivity and support. As our Bloomsburg Clinic continues to expand, Cindy assists our testing department in scheduling tests and making sure appropriate staff is available.

It might seem like Cindy doesn’t have much time for anything else in her busy schedule, but she somehow finds a way! Cindy enjoys the outdoors by hiking and spending time with her dogs. She also sings in a community choir and directs her church choir. Cindy also manages to find time to chair the Board of Directors at the Columbia County Volunteers in Medicine clinic.

Cindy is an amazing asset and we’re thrilled to have her as part of our agency!

Congratulations again, Cindy!
