Lisa Davailus is our Employee of the Month for April 2019!
Lisa began working at Caring Communities in August of 2018 as one of our wonderful phlebotomists who helps us perform syphilis and conventional HIV testing. She assists our Early intervention Services (EIS) at venues across our service area, as well as a few times a week in our central Wilkes-Barre office. At our office, you might also find Lisa managing phones to give results, scheduling appointments for those wishing to be tested, and packing condoms to be given to local schools and businesses as part of our Condom Distribution Program.
Lisa is also in the process of being trained to do our rapid
HIV tests, as well as gonorrhea and chlamydia, so expect to see her out and
about more often as we visit campgrounds, bars, and other venues throughout
Lisa notes that being out in the field and going to venues is one of her favorite parts of her position. She loves hearing people stories and finds many of those she encounters to be extremely thankful for the services Caring Communities is able to offer.
Aside from Caring Communities, Lisa also works fulltime at the VA hospital in Wilkes-Barre in the evenings. On weekends she dedicates much of her time to helping transport rescue dogs from high-kill shelters to their new homes all across Pennsylvania. Sometimes those new homes also happen to be Lisa’s! She currently has a rescue dog and two cats of her own to relax with when she’s at home.
Congratulations again to our April Employee of the Month! We appreciate all you do for the agency!
