Lisa Davailus is our Employee of the Month for August 2019! This is Lisa’s second time winning Employee of the Month.
Lisa began working at Caring Communities part-time in August of 2018 as one of our phlebotomists who helps us perform syphilis and conventional HIV testing. In April 2019, Lisa joined our Early Intervention Services (EIS) department full-time as a Community Health Worker, taking on all general testing duties, not just blood drawing. Lisa now assists with testing in our Wilkes-Barre office and at multiple venues throughout our service area.
Lisa notes that being out in the field and going to venues is one of her favorite parts of her position. She loves hearing people’s stories and finds many of those she encounters to be extremely thankful for the services Caring Communities is able to offer.
On weekends she dedicates much of her time to helping transport rescue dogs from high-kill shelters to their new homes all across Pennsylvania. Sometimes those new homes also happen to be Lisa’s! She currently has a rescue dog and two cats of her own to relax with when she’s at home.
Congratulations again to our August Employee of the Month! We appreciate all you do for the agency!
